CAMARILLO – On the first four Tuesdays in May, Padre Serra Parish, 5205 Upland Road, will present Care & Prepare: A Series on End of Life, at 7pm in the Serra Center.
“What is Church teaching about the difficult choices that can occur near the end of life? How can I best care for my loved one and myself? What documents are important to have in place and why? Who do I call after my loved one dies? How can my parish help?”
Illness and death are difficult to discuss; understanding the options can help.
Sponsored by the the parish Adult Faith Formation team & Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association, this four-part series will have professionals in health care and the Church sharing their knowledge of what to expect when a person nears the natural end of life, how to provide compassionate care, and what steps can be taken in the preparation for and upon death. Each session is independent.
