VENTURA – The Young Ladies’ Institute (San Buenaventura #160) meets every second Monday of the month at 11am.
Established in 1940, the San Buenaventura Young Ladies’ Institute #160 comprises the parishes of Mission Basilica San Buenaventura, Sacred Heart, and Our Lady of the Assumption in Ventura, and Saint Thomas Aquinas in Ojai.
The YLI is dedicated to the theological virtues of faith, hope, and charity, and “our goals reflect the principles of unity, sisterly love, and protection”.
The charitable projects of the San Buenaventura YLI support local parish communities. Its current projects include support for newborns and their mothers in need of basic necessities, seniors needing assistance, Catholic education, and the education of men for the priesthood.
