PISMO BEACH – The Militia Immaculata (Mary’s Village) of the parish of Saint Paul the Apostle, 800 Bello Street, meets every second Saturday of the month in the Pezo Library of Mathias Hall at 9am (following the 8am Mass).
They also gather for devotions in honor of Saint Maximillian Kolbe every Wednesday following the 8am Mass.
The Militia Immaculatae (MI), Latin for the “Army of the Immaculate One”, often called in English the Knights of the Immaculata, is a worldwide Catholic evangelization movement founded in 1917 by Saint Maximilian Kolbe.
The MI is open to all Catholics and encourages intercession to the Virgin Mary for the conversion of sinners and enemies of the Church through her intercession.
“Evil is spreading… especially in young people. Who will put it right? The Immaculata! May she come close to all the poor souls deprived of virtue; may she take possession of hearts. The face of the earth will then be transformed” (Saint Maximillian Kolbe, KW 1105)
