VENTURA – Beginning on Saturday, 21 February 2026, the Adult Education Ministry of the parish of Our Lady of the Assumption will be offering a six-week Saturday morning Lenten series on The Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross. Sessions will be held from 9am until 10:30am in the library of Saint Bonaventure Catholic High School, 3167 Telegraph Road.
During His Passion, Christ spoke seven final phrases from the Cross—words that the Church has long contemplated as windows into His mercy, suffering, and redemptive love. This series will reflect on why these particular words were spoken, what each reveals about the heart of Christ, and how their meaning continues to shape and challenge the Christian life today.
