

SALINAS – From Monday, 2 March through Wednesday, 4 March 2026, the parish of Madonna del Sasso, 320 E. Laurel Drive, will host a Lenten Mission led by Fr Ken Laverone, OFM.
Morning sessions will be held at 9am, with evening sessions at 7pm. Each session will be followed by a light reception.
Fr Laverone is a Franciscan priest of the Province of Saint Barbara with extensive experience in pastoral leadership, historical research, and spiritual accompaniment. Currently serving as a resident friar at Serra Retreat in Malibu, he is widely known for integrating Franciscan spirituality with practical, everyday faith. He is a sought-after retreat master and frequently leads parish missions throughout the region.
He also served as Vice Postulator for the cause of Saint Junípero Serra, contributing significantly to the historical research that led to the canonization of the Apostle of California in 2015.
Fr Laverone will preach at all Sunday Masses on 1 March, including the vigil Mass on 28 February.
