SAN LUIS OBISPO – From 15 through 25 June 2026, Fr Martin Cain, pastor of Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, will be leading a pilgrimage to Portugal and Spain in honor of the Franciscan Holy Year, which commemorates the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi.
This pilgrimage “combines the beauty of Portugal with the spiritual depth of Italy” by visiting the Shrine of Our Lady of Fátima, the birthplace of Saint Anthony of Padua in Lisbon, the streets of Assisi, and the eternal splendor of Rome.
Pilgrims “will experience rich Marian devotion, Franciscan spirituality, and the heart of the Church during a year of extraordinary grace”.
Cost for the complete pilgrimage is $2,899 plus airfare, or $1,999 plus airfare for only the Italy portion of the pilgrimage.
