SANTA CRUZ – On Monday, 20 April 2026, the parish of Holy Cross, 210 High Street, in collaboration with Bookshop Santa Cruz and the Humanities Institute at the University of California, Santa Cruz, will host the launch of a new book by Aziz Abu-Sarah and Maoz Inon in the Parish Hall at 7pm.
Aziz Abu-Sarah, a Palestinian peace activist, journalist, and social entrepreneur, and Maoz Inon, an Israeli entrepreneur and peace advocate, have each experienced personal loss within the ongoing conflict in the region. Both have since become engaged in initiatives promoting dialogue, reconciliation, and mutual understanding, including educational, cultural, and tourism-based efforts aimed at fostering cooperation between communities.
The event will feature the authors sharing their personal experiences of loss within the Israeli and Palestinian conflict and their work in promoting dialogue, reconciliation, and peace. Admission is ticketed and includes a signed copy of their book, The Future Is Peace: A Shared Journey Across the Holy Land.
