KofC Bishop Shubsda Seminarian Scholarship Fundraising Dinner

The late Most Rev. Thaddeus A. Shubsda, 2nd Bishop of Monterey in California

SAN LUIS OBISPO – On Saturday, 2 May 2026, the Knights of Columbus (council 1271) will host its annual Bishop Shubsda Seminarian Scholarship fundraising dinner at 5:30pm in the parish hall of the Nativity of Our Lady, 221 Daly Avenue.

The event will feature a steak dinner, with proceeds supporting seminarians through the Bishop Shubsda Scholarship Fund. In previous years, the dinner and raffle have raised funds in support of priestly formation.

The scholarship is named for the late Most Rev. Thaddeus A. Shubsda, who served as the second Bishop of Monterey in California from 1982 until his death in 1991.

Tickets are $40 per person, and seating is limited. Tickets will be available after the 9am and 11am Masses from 12 April through 26 April at the parish of Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, 751 Palm Street, or until sold out, in the Mission Garden. Tickets must be purchased in advance, as they will not be available at the door.
