Chili Cook-Off Features Quilt Ministry

SIMI VALLEY – On Saturday, 20 June 2026, the Knights of Columbus (council 5803) will host the 37th Annual Chili Cook-Off and Car Show on the grounds of Saint Rose of Lima School, 1305 Royal Avenue, from 10am until 4pm.

The annual event will feature chili tasting, vendor booths, a car show showcasing more than 100 vehicles, and activities for the entire family. Proceeds will support the charitable works of the Knights of Columbus.

Among the participating organizations will be the Sew the Seed of Faith Ministry of the parish of Saint Rose of Lima. Members of the ministry will offer a variety of handcrafted items, including quilts, cozies, aprons, walker caddies, tote bags, and table runners. A patriotic quilt will also be raffled during the event.

The Sew the Seed of Faith Ministry creates prayer quilts for individuals in need as a tangible reminder of God’s love and the prayers of the parish community. Proceeds from the ministry’s efforts help support this ongoing outreach.

Admission is $15 for adults or $40 for a family pass. Tickets include chili tasting while supplies last. Free overflow parking will be available at Royal High School.
