SAN MIGUEL – The parish of Mission San Miguel Arcángel will host two free summer film screenings exploring themes of faith, creation, and contemplative living. Both screenings will begin at 7pm in the parish hall, located at 795 Monterey Road.
On Friday, 7 August 2026, the parish will present The Letter: A Message for Our Earth, a documentary inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’. The film follows several frontline leaders from around the world as they travel to Rome to meet with Pope Francis and reflect on the Church’s call to care for our common home and respond to today’s environmental challenges.
On Friday, 14 August 2026, the parish will screen In Pursuit of Silence, an award-winning documentary that explores the importance of silence in modern life and its role in fostering reflection, prayer, and a deeper awareness of God and the world around us.
Admission is free, although donations are encouraged.
