NIPOMO – On Saturday, 1 August 2026, the parish of Saint Joseph, 298 S. Thompson Avenue, will host a women’s retreat titled A Heart to Heart with Our Lord.
Inspired by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops‘ recent consecration of the nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, this retreat will begin with Mass at 9am in the parish hall and conclude at 3pm.
Retreat participants will hear reflections from Fr Joseph “Joe” Dorniak, who currently serves at the Franciscan Novitiate in Arroyo Grande, and will have an opportunity for prayer, spiritual reflection, and fellowship.
The U.S. bishops consecrated the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in 2025, entrusting the nation to Christ’s love and mercy while encouraging Catholics to deepen their devotion to the Sacred Heart through prayer, conversion, and lives of charity.
A freewill offering will be accepted. Participants are asked to bring their own sack lunch; snacks and beverages will be provided.
